Built by Robertson and Caine, designed by  Simonis and Voogd, the Leopard 40 was a game changer with its unique free flowing layout which concentrates on unifying the gathering areas. This has been achieved by a door in the front of the saloon giving access directly to the forward seating area and trampoline. As all Leopard catamarans that proceeded her, the Leopard 40 is no exception to speed, agility, and blue-water performance, but her enhancements include an increased volume in the hulls, allowing for additional interior space, and an innovative interior layout.

Renegade is a three cabin two head owners’ version, a fantastic layout for a liveaboard to take your dream sailing adventure or place into a charter fleet to make a return on your investment. Currently located in the British Virgin Islands, Renegade was in St Vincent during the BVI hurricanes in 2017 and has no hurricane history or major incident.

Meticulously maintained, the current owners have spared no expense on the upkeep and upgrades this Leopard 40 deserves. To give two examples, the super spacious and comfortable cockpit has been enhanced with a full sunscreen encloser designed and made with top quality Phifertex material, and craftsmanship perfect for watching those sunsets while sipping on a cocktail. Additionally, each mattress includes a memory foam topper for the extra comfort. Renegade comes with all the inventory needed to go blue water cruising which includes an up-to-date 8 PAX life raft, Rainman Water Maker, personal location beacons on life jackets, a new 16kg Rocna anchor with 40 meters of 12 mm chain and much more.

Leopard Catamarans excitedly announces the new Leopard 40. This innovative and performance driven Leopard 40 is sure to excite anyone interested in a new catamaran in the 40 ft range.

The Leopard 40, like other Leopard models before her, is a product of South African boat builders Robertson and Caine and includes a unique, modern design thanks to experienced naval architects Simonis and Voogd as well as Robertson and Caine's design team. She resembles her predecessors in speed, agility, and blue-water performance, but her enhancements include an increased volume in the hulls and a design consistent with the rest of the Leopard range currently in production.

The Leopard 40’s interior design is unlike any Leopard before her. Her galley is located forward and the forward-facing settee and table are now located aft. This allows for a panoramic view with large sliding glass doors between the saloon and the aft cockpit. This arrangement promotes easy communication for guests and an open flow between the saloon and the aft cockpit, and a fusion of indoor and outdoor living space. In addition, the galley area includes a large forward-facing window and an access door to the forward platform of the boat. The access door enhances the open concept feel and easy navigation in and around the yacht. It also promotes ventilation throughout the interior.

Like the rest of the Leopard line, the new Leopard 40 includes a light blonde interior with a light, modern and airy feel.
