She has been meticulously maintained with regular servicing of the engines, generator, sail drives, rigging and systems. All of the navigation equipment and much of the electronics has been replaced in the past two years. Two new rudders made by Foss Foam, Florida also add to the upgraded inventory.
The galley features a two drawer Vitrifrigo refrigerator, 100L Liebherr freezer and a 2022 Dometic CFX fridge / freezer. For cooking there is a 3-burner gas stove and oven, induction cooktop, a barbecue and microwave. Two air-conditioning units and the 2023 Bosch washing machine round out the creature comforts.
Self-sufficiency at sea is assured with 2140w of solar panels, 800 Ah Lithium batteries, Victron Multiplus 3000w inverter and a 2023 SeaWater Pro 220V 20 gph watermaker.
The two Yanmar 39hp engines were lifted out and fully serviced in 2023 and the sail drives oil seals were replaced. The 76 square metre mainsail and 123 square metre gennaker were made in 2022 by the famous Danish sailmakers Elvstrøm.
Did we mention extras? She also comes with eight scuba tanks and eight full sets of diving equipment and a Bauer Junior II 400V compressor into the front locker with a filling hose that runs aft to where the tanks are stored in a dive rack.
Alba has sailed in Europe, crossed the Atlantic, passed through the Panama Canal and crossed the Pacific and she now sits in French Polynesia waiting to set sail with new owners on board.
This is a reluctant sale by the Danish owners who have had the adventure of a lifetime onboard Alba, but are now heading home to ‘face the real world’.
She sits in one of the most picturesque cruising grounds and has a permit to stay in Tahiti until August 2025.
